"Kurt Weill and Bertolt Brecht’s sassy 1930’s satire is a remarkable fusion of opera, dance and theatre. Anna sets out to make her fortune but is soon thrust into the seedier side of depression-era America. On her travels, she faces each of the seven deadly sins and though tempted to sacrifice her integrity for financial gain, she appears to escape unscathed. But is avoiding temptation the worst sin of all? Cabaret-style seating complements this gritty but glamorous show... archive film footage will be shown." - The Edinburgh Festival Fringe
To set the gritty scene of the period 1930's documentary film footage is played at the beginning of each performance in the specifically chosen congenial venues (including and old Art Deco Cinema). With more than an hint to the traditional 30's Berlin cabaret the audience are transported with cabaret-style seating to view this gutsy show.
